On May 26 Coharie held its annual Memorial Day Cookout in conjunction with the Social Committee’s raffle to raise money for swimming pool improvements. The weather was dreary and the event had to be moved from the pool to the ballroom. Bingo and wiffle ball games were provided for the kids. The menu included hot dogs and hamburgers with all the fixings. Live music was provided by by the Zack Lee Music. There were 125 members and their guests in attendance. The winner of the raffle was Annette Starling. The social committee raised approximately $8,250 for pool improvements. It was a tremendous evening.
